Ball, who has presentado the desayuno show since 2019, anunció this morning (Tuesday, November 19) que ella has decided to step down from the weekday Breakfast Show in December.
Making la announcement she said: “After seis incredible years en the Radio 2 Breakfast Show, it’s time for me to step away from the very early mornings and focus en family.
“It’s been a privilege. I think the world of you listeners and I’m grateful to my bosses here for their support, especially this year.

“Huge gracias go to my awesome equipo on the show, Tina, Mike and Richie, and of course our listeners, with whom I’ve shared some of life’s highs and lows, the bueno, the bad and the daft times.”
Ball’s último show as presentador of the Radio 2 Breakfast show will be on December 20.
Ella added: “While I’m stepping away from the Breakfast Show, I’m not desapareciendo entirely – I’ll still be a part of the Radio 2 family, with more news in the New Year.
“I’m excited to embrace mi next chapter, including being a mum in the mornings, and I can’t wait to tune in on the school run!”
Scott Mills to replace Zoe Ball on BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show
After revealing en Tuesday’s show she would be stepping down from the BBC Radio 2 Breakfast show, Ball also announced who would be replacing her.
Scott Mills will be the new presenter of the Breakfast Show each weekday morning, moving from his weekday afternoon programa (2pm-4pm).

Mills said: “Zoe and I have sido such buenos amigos now for over 25 years and have spent much of that time as part of the same radio familia here at Radio 2 and also on Radio 1.
“She’s done an incredible trabajo on this show over the past seis years, and I am beyond excited to be handed the baton.”
